Shelly's Quilt

This is the center of a quilt for Shelly, it will be a queen size quilt. The pattern is from Scarlett Rose of Scarlet Rose's Celtic and More. I was fortunate to have taken a class from Scarlett many years ago and in fact she published a quilt pattern from a quilt I made using the technique learned in the class.

This next picture is the first border I will be adding to the center. Simple four patches. Since the center medallion is bordered by black I will be continuing to sew solid black borders between colored pieces borders. It sets off the piecing in the colored borders and makes the quilt bigger with less piecing.
